The Private Patients’ Forum is funded by a range of interest groups in the private healthcare industry and by private individuals. In February 2013, we received very helpful ‘no strings’ financial support from three of the principal hospital groups working together. They are HCA International, Spire Healthcare and BMI Healthcare. See our news item announcing this by clicking here.

We have previously enjoyed generous financial support from HCA International which is based in the UK and operates six world-class hospitals in central London. We have also been given support for our own meetings and for PPF’s representation at significant private healthcare sector events from the Federation of Independent Practitioner Organisations (FIPO).  K&L Gates LLP have generously provided pro bono legal advice on incorporation and legal issues. PPF is also supported in kind by many individuals both inside and outside private healthcare. Several of these individuals are listed in our ‘who we are‘ section.  These individuals all give of their time at no cost to PPF.

PPF is in discussions to attract funding from other professional organisations which support physicians and consultants who have private practices, as well as with other hospital owners, insurers and brokers across the sector. With their support PPF will be able to broaden the base of its funding and progress its ambitious plans to extend its patient-focused remit.

Donors are told that PPF is grateful for funding but that no influence or control over The Private Patients’ Forum will be gained by making a contribution to our running costs.  This is a key condition – quite simply, PPF is robustly independent and will remain so.
