The PPF is governed by a Council led by the Forum’s Chairman. The Council is actively recruiting people with direct experience as patients using private healthcare. The Council includes people with a special interest in Private Healthcare who are prepared to give their time on behalf of private patients. PPF welcomes applications from individuals with direct experience as patients in the private healthcare sector to join the Council.

The PPF is a non-profit making company with a Board of Directors responsible for complying with legal and other statutory requirements. The Board and the Council will act at all times completely independently of all funders of PPF and interest groups. The Board is appointed by the Members of PPF.

Sir Nicholas Bonsor Bt DL – chairman A barrister, former MP and Government Minister with successful and continuing roles at Board level across a range of companies.

Kevin Dean Recently retired Partner at the London Office of the international law firm K&L Gates
Ernie Finch A business and marketing consultant who has a portfolio of non-executive director roles in the Private and Public sectors
Richard Garland Formerly an international hotelier and hospitality consultant on several continents,  is both a consumer and advisor to investors and operators in the sector regarding the provision and quality of healthcare services to their customers, management, staff and their dependants.
Lord Tony Grabiner Barrister with extensive experience both as an advocate in the High Court and as an arbitrator in domestic and international arbitrations. He sits as a Deputy High Court Judge and is the Non-executive Chairman of Arcadia
Michael Hall A recently retired senior executive and director working in healthcare with a variety of appointments in the NHS, private hospitals and private medical insurance. He ran a number of NHS units and private hospitals and was Director in charge of all BUPA hospitals. More recently, he was the CEO of Standard Life Healthcare until 2008.
Chris Khoo A surgeon in private practice who is PPF’s medical adviser
Bertie Leigh Senior Partner of the law firm Hempsons and Chair of NCEPOD (The National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death) and the Clinical Disputes Forum.
Michael Payne General Secretary of the Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries
John Randle A healthcare management consultant with a special interest in charitable hospitals and nursing homes
